Nilai, 6 July 2023 – The Legal Department (JUU) in collaboration with the Faculty of Economics and Muamalat (FEM) and the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (JKDM) held a programme titled “Nurturing Values With Royal Customs Department” together with students Bachelor of Accounting, Faculty of Economics and Muamalat.
This briefing was held to convey information about the role and taxation administered by JKDM to improve the understanding of students towards a better understanding of JKDM.
The scope and info presented also include several topics as follows:-
(i) Shared responsibility of taxes;
(ii) Role and function of JKDM;
(iii) Taxation administered by JKDM;
(iv) The concept of facilitation and facilities provided by JKDM; and
(v) Career opportunities at JKDM.
This collaboration programme between JKDM, JUU and FEM is also one of the efforts to support the USIM Strategic Plan 2023-2025 to expand the relationship between the University and the industry.
It is hoped that cooperation and good relations between the Royal Malaysian Customs Department, the Legal Department and the Faculty of Economics and Muamalat, USIM can continue in the future.
